Iconic directors

Wes Anderson 
Anderson is an indie director known for his films distinctive visual style. Two of his most well known films are 'The Royal Tenenbauns' and 'Moonrise Kingdom'. Anderson's films are mostly comedies focusing on dark issues; themes often including grief and loss of innocence. His films are very visually interesting as he makes use of flat space camera moves and other interesting shots. He also purposefully uses a limited colour palette which is what we are also doing for our opening. The colours he does use are very similar to the ones we are planning on using.

Charlie Kaufman 

Kaufman is an indie director, some of his most popular films are 'Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' and 'Being John Malkovich'. Often he uses the themes of mortality and meaning of life. However many of his films use comedy to depict these. Sometimes his work is referred to as 'surrealist'.
